OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH POLICY PLAN

Sound Health is good business in every organization. 
ELSHCON NIGERIA LIMITED takes reasonable care to maintain the health of all her employees, which will enable them to keep good standard and efficient productivity.

POLICY
It is the policy of ELSHCON NIGERIA LIMITED to protect and maintain every of her employee from dangerous and unhealthy work conditions, actions and materials so far as this is within the competence of the company.  This include Client representatives and third parties where they will be involved with ELSHCON NIGERIA LIMITED operations.
To maintain healthy working conditions, the company takes into account, statutory rules and regulations.

PLAN

  • All workers shall be subjected to a periodic medical check-up (to ascertain their continued fitness) as part of our health monitoring programme.


  • All expatriates will be regularly examined for malaria parasite and prophylactics administered on monthly basis.


  • Drivers and Boat crew shall undergo porto-clinic and porto-glare test.


  • Food handlers are tested for TB and ELSHCON NIGERIA LIMITED maintains an insurance scheme against any liability that may result in the event of any of its personnel suffering from occupational diseases or any other impairment to health.


  • ELSHCON NIGERIA LIMITED maintains a well equipped First Aid Clinic in her Port Harcourt yard, left under the care of a qualified nurse who gives first aid treatment to all employees, in addition to treating minor injuries.


  • ELSHCON NIGERIA LIMITED, shall provide a standard, well equipped site clinic.  The clinic shall be left under the care of a competent nurse who will give first aid treatment to workers.


  • The nurse shall give relevant report about health status of the employees.


  • The nurse shall also maintain a medical treatment register for employees' medical records to provide enough medical data for reference.


  • Severe cases are however, referred to the company’s retainer clinics (Princess Medical Centre).
