ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

It is the direct concern of ELSHCON NIGERIA LIMITED to promote and encourage the awareness of and to protect and preserve the environment wherever its operation will be carried out in this regard. Staff of ELSHCON NIGERIA LIMITED are encouraged to pay appropriate attention to the adverse effect of their action or of their sub-contractors to minimize any nuisance that may likely arise from such actions.

PLANS
The company shall utilize where possible any reasonable current research and methods which may assist to decrease the impact of the company’s activities upon the environment.

The company shall adopt, utilize and abide by, where possible the environmental contingency plan of our major clients.  This is because major clients would be deemed to have wider knowledge, experience and ability of environmental protection within their field of endeavour.

The company shall be cognizant of local communities and seek a course for the company activities, which will minimize the impact of those activities upon the communities and their environment.

The company shall seek to minimize the impact of its activities with regard to plants and animals erosion and water pollution.

The company shall take feasible precautions when working with potentially dangerous pollutants such as oil, gas petroleum and chemicals.

The company shall ensure that all chemicals and other potentially dangerous compounds are stored safely and in a proper manner.

The company shall use chemicals or other compound which produces the least impact upon the environment, thus reducing further the potentials for pollution of the air, water and soil.

The company shall ensure that vehicles, machineries and marine vessels are properly maintained and used, so as to reduce the potentials for air and other pollution.
